  3. I was able to Google VietNam Vets Only Robin Woo. What I got was what appeared to be a newsletter. I assume you can access earlier editions.

  4. That’s not a clickable link, Lawrence. I’ve tried to find it, but aren’t sure if I’ve got the right place. Cut and paste from the address bar onto a message here and it should make it clickable.

  8. Hello there! This post could not be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my good old room mate! He always kept talking about this. I will forward this page to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing! bfekbdcdkfdd

  9. Just received the itinerary for the Escanaba reunion, looks like Biil has put together a fun time. So looking forward to this time with those who can come.

    1. LT,
I wish I could. I’ll be supporting a Military exercise at Camp Atterbury, Indiana from mid July thru mid August.
I want to attend one as soon as I can. I look forward to it.

  10. I wish him all the best.
I assume that he is having problems with that thumping thing that I discovered in my chest. I think it was about 20 years ago, when my kids moved out and Grandkids came along.

  12. Gary,
    I agree!
    Lawrence,
I have a whole life of wrong decisions so don’t look back. Our future is much shorter now than our past. I might consider a return trip……………

  14. Mark,
Ya, I am sure we crossed paths as I was PFC until July when I made E-4. I spent my whole year from 11/68-11/69 in 2nd platoon. Oh, well Tooch I live in a burr.

  15. Mark,
What was your rank, platoon, and dates of service in Charlie CO. Trying to place you. Do you remember me? I have blanked out a lot about that year.
    Thanks

    1. Bill, I arrived in country the first week of May 1969 and left April10 ,1970. I was a e-5 buck sgt. and in December of 69,promoted to e-6 staff sgt. I was the squad leader of 1st. sqd, 1st.plt. until just before Capt. Morris left.I was then moved to the Co CP until the middle of Feb. I was then sent up to Battalion to run the war room for Col. Neron. I may have known you although my memory is kind of blurred. Tooch

  16. Carl, John North was my point man. We had just gotten in a resupply bird. I sent John to help unload it; just after it lifted off, he tripped a booby-trap and was killed instantly. I was wounded also. John was 18 years old .WHAT A WASTE.

    1. Thanks Mark. I like to know what happened to a lot of these guys. We lost so many guys in such needless ways. The number that were killed accidentally is almost unbelievable. It is estimated that of the 58 thousand plus; 10,000 died accidently. Incidentally, I was in 1st squad, 1st platoon also. I carried the radio and was Twister Charlie 1/1 kilo and later1/6 kilo.

  17. Sorry John that I forgot your day of passing. Rest in peace in God’s hands.
    June 10, 1969
    John North,
    Germantown, WI

  18. Carl,
Sorry, I was there in June but was blessed to be on R&R with my wide in Hawaii. Never heard the details when I got back. I thought it happened in the mountains. Could have happened in chow line if they brought it out in chopper. Only guessing.

  19. Can anyone tell me about John North KIA 10 Jun 1969? The Americal facebook page states that he was killed by a booby trap in the chow line. Can someone give us an update?
