  1. My beautiful wife, Barbara and I are celebrating our 46th anniversary today, and we want to wish all Grunt Brothers and your families a wonderful Christmas and a Happy, New Year!

  2. Hey guys,
Hope you are all well and ready for Christmas! I went to James . Lovell VA hospital last night with other members of our VFW post and put on a Christmas Party for the PTSD inpatient wards. We had the choir and Slam Funk Jazz Band from our local high schools to entertain them and had refreshments for them to enjoy. I couldn’t hardly believe it but I got a Christmas card today from Old Sarge Ben Musquez. He said he did his last parachute jump at age 82 out of WWII C47 aircraft. God bless him and his military family. It was great to hear he was alright.

  3. Speaking of “TWINKIES ” my wife and I have an original package of two from our wedding in 1966. They still look as fresh as the day we bought them. Like wine, they get better with age. Saving them for the day when there is peace in the Middle East.

  4. HOPE THIS WORKS—OK–ALL YOU GRUNTS OUT CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AND NOT DISCUSSING ? DIDN`T KNOW MY LAST POST POSTED.

  5. When I got home, I got in the mail a very nice contribution for the web site expenses from Chuck Missar. Thank you very much, it is really appreciated. Now get on the discussion page and make me proud that you are contributing to this brotherhood. It makes me feel proud when I see my brothers using this web site.

    1. I’m surprised you found the money so quickly. the last time I gave you a contribution, it took you a year before you found it.
Did Bruno retire and move by the kids?

  6. Judy are out and about traveling in the south. Today we are in the Dallas, TX area and we stopped by and saw George “Bruno” Cotter and his wife Kristy. We visited for several hours and then went out and ate. Bruno is doing great and getting along great. They moved here almost two years ago after spending their life times in California. About the only thing they cannot get used to is the freezing and cold temps in their home land. It was absolutely great to see them.

  7. Terry Roberts,
I burnet barrels of …………..in Chu Lai. Arrived on 11/5/68 in Cam Rahn Bay, sent to Chu Lah & LZ Ross. Spent Thanksgiving in the bush on a grass covered hill, We had all the fix’ens sent out to us. Still to this day it seems surreal. Had been in country 23 days

    1. I spent Thanksgiving 1970 on KP at the Combat Center in Chu Lai. Lucky me. That means I’ve pulled KP on 3 different continents! How many of y’all can say that? LOL

  8. Happy Thanksgiving to all…..May God continue to bestow his blessings on us……Today is also the day that I am glad to eat vegetables……Candied yams……Carrot cake ……. and Pumpkin pie!

  9. To all I wish a great turkey day and was thinking of SR doing the pots & pans @ KP in Chu-lai 46 yrs ago! Yes so much to be thankful for, God bless you all.

  10. I want to wish all my Grunt Brothers and your families a happy, healthy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the time with your families. We still do have many things to be thankful for.

  11. Greg, I agree with your thoughts.
LT, no snow here but a wonderful Thanksgiving to all you grunts and your families.

  12. Hi Guys,
I wish to extend all of you a wonderful peaceful Thanksgiving Day with friends and family! We had 17 inches of snow on Friday and it was the largest November snowfall in 120 years. Two weeks ago i;t was in the 60’s.
    Love Yah

  13. any updates on REX health ? having meds hassles here-dang gov`t. wally–what snow ?? none here. tooch–how did THE WALL visit go ? that can be a rough visit–memories of good grunts/medics and dam lousy days.
larry–who did the cooking there ? any meals from green cans ?

    1. Short Round you need to get back to your roots and spend the
winter in good old Cleveland so you can see some snow.

    2. A lawyer from Amarillo, TX did all the cooking. I did not see how they prepared the meals, so I do not know if any of it came out of green cans. It tasted pretty good, so I doubt came out of green cans.

  14. Got yesterday evening from a great time with Larry and Judy.
Had a great time reducing the prairie dog population plus a
few pheasants. Left Colorado in time to beat a big snow storm.
Hope all my brothers had a great Veterans Day

  15. By Brother Wally Searight and his son in law Terry Moore just left this morning after spending 6 days with me during my 36th annual pheasant hunt. We had 24 guys that attended the hunt. We had plenty of hunting, eating fine prepared meals and a beer or two. We sure missed Ben and Bret Buehler and Rex Allen this year.

  16. As I reflect back on the Vietnam War, the bravery, dedication, sacrifice and the ability of young men to fight a hostile enemy under the most extreme conditions continue to frame my thoughts. I hope each of you and your families enjoy this Veteran’s Day. You were the best!!

  17. May all veterans have a safe and happy Veterans Day. Families of our veterans served too. Please, also remember all the ones that went before us.
    God bless all of veterans.

  18. My deepest respect and gratitude to all of you for your sacrifices in service to our nation. Here’s hoping you receive many thanks from others on this special day of ours’. Semper Primus
