  1. I got home last night from another great reunion. It was great to everyone again and all the new faces hope they come to the next one. Bill & Mary you did a great job. The only problem it was over to soon. Maybe we should have bought way more bait.

  2. I got home yesterday from the reunion. The bait shop was a very good, but it was also great to see all my brothers and their wives. We had several that attended for the first time in Ron and Martha Causey, Carl and Linda Fryman, Gordon and Raylene Kreminski, Ozzy and Jo Nelson, and Dennis and Lois Wittman. I hope you guys enjoyed the reunion.,
Here’s hoping that Linda Fryman has a speedy recovery.

    1. Larry and all,
Linda will have surgery tomorrow morning to put a plate and screws in her ankle. I will keep all of you posted after surgery. She has VERY LITTLE pain.

  3. We are on our way home. Arrived at Mackinac City today. Had a good time at the reunion. One of the memorable events was the visit to the bait shop. Sorry I missed the run to the Pasties shop. Thanks Bill and Mary for all you did to make it such a success. Missed you Terry, I have something special for you.

  4. Just got back from the reunion in Escanaba. Thank you Bill and Mary Porath for your lovely hospitality and great preparation. The 40 plus of us in attendance had a wonderful time in the UP. Terry, glad you are mending and wish you God’s speed in recovery.

  5. Terry….Good to hear you are feeling better…..Larry Fry…..I got to Charlie Company around the middle of January….I came riding on top of a track in a convoy of tracks…..Maybe you were on the same convoy……..By the way can anybody else view the photo section?.

  6. Spent a night in the Va hosspistol. They loaded me up with a couple bags of go juice, lots of anti biots and told me to return to duty. Last time I had pneumonia was basic training, they damned near re-cycled me! Feel much better, thanks for your kind thoughts, but I am sad not to see those who could make it. However this just means we will work hard to see people during the year! As uncle Sy says ” That’s a fact, Jack “

  7. LT
Thanks for reaching out to me. It won’t happen this time but I may see you the end of October. I’ll talk to you about it.

  8. Hey Chuck,
I would even spring for the Captain if you leave AZ and join us. It’s been a long time since Ft. Hood!

  9. Have grand kids from Florida here! Enjoy yourselves! I am not getting older but like fine wine “better”

  10. Terry…Take good care of yourself and get well quick!…….I hope everyone else has a great time at the reunion……God bless.

  11. Judy and I got to the reunion site an hour or so ago. The reunion host, Doof was at the front door to greet us. Wally should be here in a couple of hours. I got a sad message that Terry Roberts has been sick for three days and had to cancel out attending the reunion. I know he was really looking forward to the trip and we will miss him and his bride.

  12. Well, it certainly appears that we are all getting so old that we are challenged to post on the website. Larry, it may be time to take it down due to lack of activity.

  13. Mr. Fry,
You may get older but you can’t catch up with us as we seem to be getting old right along with you so unfortunately you can’t close the gap until we croak and I don’t intend to do that. Happy early Birthday wishes to you!

  14. Hey Tooch,
Happy Birthday! By the way you are not officially old until you turn 68 they say based on today’s longevity stats! Hope you had a wonderful birthday and look forward to seeing you in Escanaba. We are going to have a pretty good turnout!

    1. Thanks LT.I just saw a commercial on tv. for a NY. hospital. A 93 year old woman says.”why do people bitch about old age? If your not old, your dead”

  15. Hi guys.I turned 66 years old yesterday. I don’t know how the rest of you feel, but I have a hard time getting my head around that fact. I just wonder where my life went. I sure miss that 20 year old kid!! Tooch

  16. Bill,
Bruno was there 69-70 and was in my platoon during my time with C/2/1. He was at the Decater AL reunion which was the last time I saw him

  17. Bruno, a country boy, I’ll have to see it to believe it. Bruno, are you out there? I never see you post. There is a lot of great BBQ in Dallas as well as the rest of Texas.

  18. I recently exchanged emails with a fellow 2nd platooner, Geroge “Bruno” Cotter. He has had a big change in his life. He was a city boy that lived in California all his life and now he has moved to near Dallas, TX to be near a child and grandchildren. Now he says he is country-fied as he has a shed to do his hobbies in. He got to do one of his bucket list last year in driving the entire route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. It was great to hear from him.

  19. Hey all you late starters out there. Time to jump on it to get your reservation in for Escanaba MI reunion. We have a pretty good group signed up so far! Please contact Brother Bill Porath(Doof) to get your tours and dinner locked in. Get your hotel reservation by contacting the hotel at the numbers provided in the reunion drop down above. Hope to see many more of your there.
